FIL ROUGE
a pittoresk medley
Fil Rouge dives into the sea of social complexities and sheds light on the quest for identity in our ever-changing world. Each scene reflects the everyday trials and triumphs of contemporary people while echoing melodies from our ancient history. Fil Rouge crafts a dynamic landscape of atmospheres and characters that fluidly materialize and dissolve through the interplay of movement, voice, objects and light.
The piece interweaves layers of the conscious and the subconscious, the tangible and the imaginary, ranging from the satirical to the poetic. The distinctions between black and white soften and absurdity becomes a powerful instrument for viewing the world from a fresh perspective. Fil Rouge is a unique performance that each evening transforms itself.
Fil Rouge is a project conceived and written by a group of seven international dancers who share a deep and common interest in a specific performative language. These artists, each with a unique cultural background, orchestrate their individual artistic voices to create a multi-layered form of expression.
